Services are designed to encompass a number of education objectives, including instruction in basic academic skills such as English language instructor, reading, writing, math, social studies, science, life skills training, pre-vocational and social skills activities.
Youth receive a minimum of six hours per day, Monday through Friday, of academic coursework. Hands of Healing has an excellent working relationship with the local school system. Residents who require hands on instruction will be taught on campus by teachers provided by the school. Hands of Healing’s direct care staff also serve as teacher aides if needed at the school.
Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District is a Texas public school district responsible for providing all academic instruction to Hands of Healing residents.
