A Child Placement Agency (CPA) is an organization licensed to recruit, train, and support foster parents, while facilitating the placement of children into safe, loving families.
At the RGV Child Placement Agency (CPA), we provide children and families with the support they need to be successful throughout their foster care journey. We are committed to ensuring that every child, family, and team member feels seen, valued, and appreciated. We recognize that serving children who have experienced trauma truly takes a village, and we are their village.
Our Team takes pride in our dedication to providing children in need with the opportunity to grow, thrive, and feel loved in a stable, nurturing home. Additionally, we collaborate with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure that each child receives the emotional, behavioral, educational, and social support necessary to succeed.
At the RGV CPA, we are more than a Child Placement Agency, we are a family united by a shared mission to transform lives through compassion, commitment, hope, and the belief that every child deserves to belong. There us a great demand for Fostering and transitional housing services for at-risk youth, for which our Team is committed to creating opportunities for children to find their forever families. Together, we’re building stronger families and communities in the Rio Grande Valley, one child at a time.
Our Government-Partnerships
Hands of Healing currently operates two federal programs within the Rio Grande Valley, working alongside government agencies to provide compassionate care, support, and essential services to children from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. Our mission is to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and cared for. Through our programs, we strive to promote normalcy, stability, education, and personal growth, while ensuring that each child has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Short-Term Program
Our short-term federal program provides temporary care and comprehensive support for children while they are in our care. We focus on creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes emotional well-being and a sense of normalcy. Through our Educational Services, children receive guidance and educational support designed to strengthen foundational skills and prepare them for continued success. We also coordinate access to medical care and other essential services to address their individual needs. We believe that children should have the opportunity to experience life beyond the walls of a care setting. For this reason, we incorporate recreational activities, community outings, and age-appropriate experiences that allow children to learn, explore, socialize, and simply enjoy being children.
Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC)
Our Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) program provides children with a stable, supportive, and nurturing foster family environment for an extended period of time. The program is designed to meet each child's individual needs while helping them build the skills, relationships, and confidence necessary for a successful future.
